3. Fate and Destiny

The story tells of two people who live in buildings right next to each other, separated only by a wall, and are always near each other but can't seem to find one another.

The boy who is one of the main characters is a violinist who works from job to job. During one of his gigs, he meets another girl who’s like a prostitute, who offers to give him a ride home. However she flirts aggressively with the boy during the ride which frightens him. To get away from her he jumps out of her car and makes a run for his apartment building. The next day he sees her waiting for him on the left corner of his building which makes him avoid going to the left of his building while the girl who is also one of the main characters is a translator for a book publishing company. Her job is to translate foreign books into Chinese. She was given a task of translating a horror novel into Chinese. At night while translating the horror novel she gets frightened and thinks her home is haunted. The next day she notices a scary-looking tree to the right of her apartment building and, frightened, she refuses to go to the right of her building.

While watching this movie you can’t avoid to get pissed because it’s so frustrating that they can’t see other even if they are in the same place. Nonetheless, the movie is so fantastic because of the wonderful plot the author and the Director have made.

I love the scene where the two shares their talents; the boy plays his violin in front of the girl after that the girl recites the poems she translated.

When the main characters searching for each other, I get mad at the two extra characters which is the waitress and the Doctor who checked the both of them, because they separated the two main characters instead of helping them to see each other.

Above all, I really love the movie, Thank you Ms. Eliz for showing us this wonderful movie, hope we can watch a lot more.
